RSS and Feedly


Hi Everyone!
At the first time my eye catch the word (RSS) in my assignment 1, I asked myself what it meant because I never had heard this word before. As you know English is not my mother language, so I tried to search about (RSS) in the Blogger’s Quick Tutorial. Unfortunately I couldn't find the answer there, then I started to read about it in Google, ultimately I understood what it means and checked it with my friend Lisette.

I learned we use RSS feeds to keep up to date with blogs or website by creating an account in Feedly.com, which I did. Also I found it so easy and interesting to deal with this site, it has great user interface and simple access organizational tools. I immediately began to subscribe to the RSS feeds of all my favorite blogs. I have been able to create four subject collections according to the different types of blogs I follow that including (Document Management 1[My Group], Interior Design, News, Photography).
  For example, the design blogs are in the 'Interior Design' folder and news blogs in the 'News' folder.

This achieved is considered a new goal that hadn't been listed in my learning goals.

    Dear Nouf, Did you find that setting up an RSS Feed was really simple? This is supposed to be Really Simple Syndication, but the trouble with this is I have had some trouble with RSS in the past. I'm hoping that using Feedly.com is the answer to some of the problems that I've had. I've previous tried setting up a blogs using Wordpress.com because they come with their own blog facility, but that wasn't too successful either. Please read my blog post about RSS Feeds, it is quite interesting.

      As you know I don't have any idea about new technologies, but I don't face any problem with using Feedly.com.
      I hope every thing will be ok with you.

      I will read your post about RSS Feeds and I am sure it would interesting.

    Looks like you are making good progress! Congratulations on your feedly account, I have found feedly useful so far, having all the blogs, etc that I am following in the one spot and I am sure you will too!
