Welcome to my blog

My warmest greetings to  Huan and to my great group members Christina, Kate, Lisette, Luisa and Susanne.

My name is Nouf  and I’m from Saudi Arabia, I have been in Australia for a year to study the English language and now I am in my first semester of Master of Information Management. I have worked around 11 years in Ministry of Social Affairs; 10 of them I worked in childcare on the computer and in the last year, I was in Department of Incoming and Outgoing Transaction. Last but not least, I am a mother of 3 children.

For a fact, I am very far from social networking technologies, as a result this is the first time for me to create and understand what a blog means. It is a chance for me to share important moments, and there is a lot more to come: goals, challenges and opportunities!

Anything is possible when you just believe in yourself, in spite of all the difficulties that I had encountered to create this blog and in making comments for my group, I am excited to start this project in this course and I am ready for challenges.
I would like to thank Kate for helping me create this blog, and thank you Lisette  and Susanne as well.
My personal learning goals are:
·        Breaking the barrier of fear in using new technologies such as Twitter, Google Maps.
·      Being familiar with technology such as participation in Wikipedia or BillionGraves.
·      Challenging myself, so I need to push myself to do things that  I do not necessarily comfortable doing like Write Tweet .
·       Displaying the information in an orderly manner and making it interesting for the reader.
I'm looking forward to working with my group and I hope by the end of this course that I have achieved some of my goals.

  4. Hi Nouf,
It was lovely meeting you last week and I think that our group is great too. You have certainly had a very interesting career in Saudi Arabia and now that you've started on the pathway to be an Information Manager I believe your future will be even brighter. Where did you study English? I am wondering because I teach English and also TESOL. I wouldn't worry too much about this being the first time that you've created a blog because most of us are in the same situation and I think that our group will help each other out very well. This means that we'll all be learning together. I do admire your personal learning goals, they're very spot on and clear. Good luck for a great year ahead.
    Cheers,
    Susanne
